(1981) Graduated in Architecture at Technical University of Lisbon
As an integrate member of the Research Center on Technology, Architecture and Design, CITAD, from the Minerva Foundation, in Lusiada’s University, in Lisbon (2015), aims to mantain the approach to theory and method SVTOD centered in an epistemological point of vue of architecture and the concept of evolution as a continuous dialectic between art, as infinite universal value, and science, as a finite useful value.
In the context of framing possible applications of SVTOD, relevant conclusions came to light, notably in localities, where territorial and human vocations play a dynamic role favorable to sustainable growth in economic development and entrepreneurship activities.
The concentration of the applied investigation to the maritime and port ordering in Portugal generated the need for regional plans, quality and quantity plans, based on the categorisation of values in significance and scale, as a way to establish the interrelation between local and commercial ports and represent the dynamic of the territorial and human novement.
The development of a regional system in the North of Portugal would be the first phase of this aplication at a national level, also representing the historic mundialisational maritime prospective of Portugal in an european and intercontinental level, facing the problematic of a dominant continental globalization.
